Black Mothers to Michigan Lawmakers: Time for Paid Family Leave

As the 30th anniversary of the seminal federal Family Medical Leave Act nears, African American Michigan mothers and caregivers on Thursday shared their experiences and called for state paid leave legislation. 

In May, 2018, Mothering Justice turned in over 380,000 signatures to put Earned Paid Sick Time on the ballo. Mothering Justice volunteers collected over 12,000 of the signatures for the MI Time to Care initiative.
