Mai Xiong (pronounced: My Song) was first elected in 2020 to serve on the Macomb County Board of Commissioners. Xiong was in her second term when she won a special election to serve as State Representative for the 13th House District in April 2024. She is currently running for re-election to serve the communities of Roseville, St. Clair Shores, and Warren. A champion for working families, Xiong has worked to address the needs of our most vulnerable populations, supported the growth of small businesses, advocated for equitable road funding and increased investments in underserved communities. Xiong earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts from the College for Creative Studies. She is also a graduate of the Senior Executives in State and Local Government at Harvard Kennedy School and the Michigan Political Leadership Program (MPLP) at Michigan State University.
