Michigan advocacy groups and organizers are hosting a week full of events across the state, with gatherings and actions focused on reproductive rights, gun violence prevention, LGBTQ+ equality, and voter engagement.
The week also includes The ’Gander Newsroom’s livestreamed town hall, “Regulating Big Tech & Protecting Our Kids,” featuring Michigan State Senator Mallory McMorrow, experts, advocates, and parents directly impacted by the harms of digital platforms.

‘Gander Newsroom: Town Hall: Regulating Big Tech & Protecting Our Kids (Livestream, 6:30-8 p.m.)
A livestreamed town hall conversation featuring Michigan leaders, experts, advocates, and parents directly impacted by the harms of digital platforms. The conversation, moderated by The ‘Gander’s chief political correspondent Kyle Kaminski, will explore how platform design, corporate decisions, and policy failures are affecting youth mental health, family well-being, and community safety, while examining what meaningful accountability could look like moving forward.
