MICHIGAN—The best time to visit a Michigan dispensary is the first time.

There are more than 800 licensed dispensaries operating across Michigan, and nearly all of them are ready to hand you something free just for walking through the door—including free joints, edibles, steep discounts, and tote bags stuffed with branded merch you’ll never use.

First-time customer deals have become one of the most competitive corners of Michigan’s cannabis market. And if you know where to look, you can end up saving some serious cash.

As a public service, I personally rounded up 20 dispensaries offering some of the best first-time perks in the state. And this list was verified in May 2026, so you can actually count on it. (Of course, deals and promotions may change without notice, so we highly recommend checking the retailer’s website before visiting.)
