There are two bedrooms, and she can accommodate up to four guests. Nearby there’s fast food, local coffee, and a general store, all within walking distance.

Smoking Under the Stars

A budget-friendly option, the Firefly Stargazer Suite is a simple setup with a wrap-around porch, patio furniture, and green space all around. At less than $100 a night, it’s a genuine chance to unplug from the day to day and get lost in the stars at night. Hastings is north of Battle Creek and the only city in Barry County, so a true escape for those who need it.

Haven Campground is 10 acres of campsites that offer privacy when you want it and a true celebration of connecting with nature (each campsite is themed after a Michigan tree). The grounds are veteran-owned and feature a few select furnished yurts with queen beds for ganja glamping. Perk: They allow dogs. 

Pain Re-Leaf Retreat

This women’s wellness retreat center is on a small Northern Michigan farm. A quiet healing oasis, it’s run by an RN and holistic practitioner who uses cannabis and other herbal remedies for pain relief, massages, workshops, and wellness activities.
