MICHIGAN – Summer brings a time for socializing in Michigan, and while the beloved cannabis holiday 4/20 has passed, it was only the kickoff for a lineup of weed-friendly events happening this season.
From talent shows to pool parties, festivals to holistic celebrations, there’s a variety of activities where Mary Jane will be your favorite plus one.

Canna Fame
Round one of the Canna Fame talent contest kicks off at the end of June. This Detroit-based event hosted by The Budness offers dinner, refreshments, and live performances. It’s meant to bring like-minded people and performers together for a chicken dinner and competition of local talent (sans the stage fright).

CannaBash 2023
After a knock-out debut last year that drew more than 7,500 attendees, the 2023 CannaBash is returning to Muskegon. It’s the perfect place for festival-goers, live music lovers, and cannabis connoisseurs. The event includes performances, vendors, markets, food trucks, and more, with general admission for $65.

Wine and Weed Social Gathering & Pool Party
This pool party is the making of a perfect Sunday in Michigan. For $10 admission, guests will get to indulge in wine, bud, infused foods from vendors, adult toys, accessories, and desserts. You can also bring your own drinks and bud while perusing the event.

Motor City Roots Festival
Pegged as the Midwest’s largest cannabis culture festival yet, the Motor City Roots Festival this year features performances from Detroit artists and a few notable former Detroit Lions players like Calvin Johnson. On site, you’ll find food trucks, adult games, and the Motor City Cup Awards Show. This event is 21 and up.

Summer’s End Smoke Out
Don’t let summer wind down without doing the same for yourself. Check out this uplifting bash in Republic (the Upper Peninsula) that spotlights artists, crafts, music, food, and games in an elevated state. Worth the last warm-weather trip up north, the camping event starts at $35 plus fees.

PoTopia Music Festival
A new event making its way to Michigan’s summer lineup is the first annual PoTopia Music Festival which puts the spotlight on up-and-coming artists and festive cannabis-infused activities. The event runs three days in southwest Michigan, with $20 day passes available. Each day is themed with a different genre of music which is sure to bring in a diverse crowd and you can purchase tickets for your favorite concert or the entire weekend of camping.
