Barron Industries, Inc., a century-old, family-owned company, specializes in advanced metal castings for major manufacturers in the defense and aerospace industry. This investment aims to add advanced metal 3D printing and machining equipment to their repertoire. The company will be building a new Advanced Aerospace Manufacturing Center to house this new equipment, with support from the Michigan Strategic Fund (MSF).

MEDC Senior Vice President of Regional Development, Matt McCauley, commented on the investment, stating that it exhibits why Michigan is the ideal choice for companies looking to bring advanced manufacturing to market.
The expansion is expected to generate $9.1 million in capital investment and create 50 new jobs. To further support this expansion, the MSF has awarded the company a $900,000 Michigan Business Development Program performance-based grant.
