3. Urquhart’s Tree Farm

A family-run farm, Urquhart’s is located just outside of none other than Tree Town itself—Ann Arbor! With a vast selection of cut-your-own trees, saws, and other equipment provided, you can enjoy a winter adventure minutes from the U of M campus. 4. Westman’s Christmas Tree Farm

A cut-your-own Christmas tree farm just outside of Dexter, Westman’s is home to thousands of different evergreens to use as your Christmas tree, including spruce and fir. All trees come at a fixed price, but remember that it’s check or cash only. Westman’s provides saws and other equipment, but staff can also assist you with cutting your tree, and the site is fully handicap accessible.
5. Hunt 4 Your Fir Christmas Tree Farm
5102 Old State Road, North Branch
The name says it all—at Hunt 4 Your Fir, you can, well, hunt for your fir tree for Christmas! With four kinds of fir trees to choose from, priced at only $60 per tree for trees up to 9.5 feet, this place can’t be beat when it comes to cutting a Christmas fir. This is a straightforward farm with very few add-ons, so it’s best for the most serious tree hunters only.
6. Shea Tree Farm
6183 Shea Road, Marine City
In the northeastern suburbs of Detroit, Shea Tree Farm is a family-friendly choose-and-cut Christmas tree farm. They provide saws, twines, and other equipment, as well as wagons to transport your tree. The team at Shea’s is also happy to shake and wrap your tree for transport, and while you’re there, you can enjoy hot chocolate, cider, soup, and chili around their cozy campfire!
