Here’s what’s happening in Michigan this weekend (March 6-8, 2026)

Welcome to your weekend plans.

Our highlights include parties all across northern Michigan, a lumberjack festival in Lansing, and a women’s expo in Grand Rapids.

West Michigan

1. West Michigan Women’s Expo

March 6-8

DeVos Place (303 Monroe Ave. NW, Grand Rapids)

“From local boutiques and emerging brands to health and wellness pros, beauty experts, cooking demos, giveaways, and more, the West Michigan Women’s Expo is your ultimate girls’ day out (and yes, the guys enjoy it too).”

2. March Mannequins

Friday, March 6, 6-7:30 p.m.

Downtown St. Joseph

“Watch storefronts of participating businesses come alive during March Mannequins in downtown St. Joe. Windows will display community volunteers as they pose perfectly still, like mannequins. Vote for your favorite window.”

3. KNC Maple Sugar Festival

Saturday, March 7, 9 a.m.- 4 p.m.

Kalamazoo Nature Center (7000 N. Westnedge Ave., Kalamazoo)

“Join in the fun for the 61st annual Maple Sugar Festival. Each year we celebrate the first signs of spring, from the festival’s humble beginnings of a kettle on a tripod to today’s full day of activities with the all-important pancake breakfast topped off with real Michigan maple syrup.”

4. Grand Rapids Bourbon Fest

New Vintage Place (889 Broadway Ave. NW, Grand Rapids)

“The event features 100+ rare / high end whiskeys and bourbons, classic cocktails and local distilleries. In addition we’ll have food vendors, live music, and other vendors.”

5. Great Bear Chase Ski Marathon

“The Great Bear Chase offers cross country ski races to skiers of all abilities and ages, and is known for its laid-back, friendly atmosphere.”

6. Sylvan Daze

Saturday, March 7

Treetops Resort (3962 Wilkinson Road, Gaylord)

“Join us for the throwback celebration of the year as Treetops returns to its roots for Sylvan Daze. We’re taking a nostalgic journey back to 1954, when we first opened as Sylvan Knob Ski Area.”

7. Hops ‘N Highlands

10. Suds & Snow 2026

“The theme for this years event is D E T R O I T!!! Think sports, music, Motown, use your imagination! Attendees will enjoy a half-mile hike to the backwoods where the event will take place. Once arriving at the winter wonderland they will be greeted by over 20 beverage vendors and two food trucks.”

11. Brrs, Beards, & Brews

Old Town Lansing

“We’re once again braving the mean streets of Old Town (otherwise known as the 1200 block of Turner Street) to share with the world Michigan’s Least Professional Beard Competition, the amazing Feats of Strength (requiring both brawn and brains), vendors, bourbon, beer, games and food, all set to amazing music in a fabulous location!”

12. Michigan Sneaker Xchange

Saturday, March 7, 12-7 p.m.

Huntington Place (1 Washington Blvd., Detroit)

“The state’s biggest sneaker and streetwear tradeshow brings rare heat, top vendors, exclusive drops, and thousands of sneakerheads together for one high-energy day of buying, selling, and trading.”
