MUST WATCH: Abdul El-Sayed challenges voter after pointed question at campaign event

What started as a pointed question quickly turned into a tense exchange at a Michigan campaign event. A man who identified himself as Tommy asked Democratic U.S. Senate candidate Abdul El-Sayed whether he would disavow the Muslim Brotherhood. El-Sayed answered “absolutely” — then pressed him on why he assumed the question needed to be asked of him in the first place. El-Sayed argued that the question carried an implication that his Muslim faith could mean divided loyalties, telling the crowd he would swear an oath to the U.S. Constitution and invoking John F. Kennedy, who faced similar questions about whether his Catholic faith would make him beholden to the Vatican.
