8 best cannabis-infused edibles in Michigan—and where to find them

Hundreds of Michigan stoners decided: These are the brands that make the best cannabis-infused edibles in Michigan.

MICHIGAN—Old-school stoners seem to gravitate toward hand-rolled joints and bowls.

But not everyone has the lung capacity—or the time—for a smelly smoke session. So, for those who’d rather skip the hacking in favor of snacking, cannabis-infused edibles are the move.

For the last several weeks, our readers have voted on which brands are producing the best cannabis-infused edibles on the shelves at Michigan dispensaries. The following list features eight Michigan brands among the most frequently cited as being the best on the market:

Detroit Edibles

This Michigan-based brand has been a reader favorite for years. It scored some of the most votes in last year’s contest and again emerged as a clear favorite among readers in 2024.

Our vote tallies show that the company’s obsession with high-quality ingredients has translated into some seriously tasty treats—regardless of whether it’s hand-crafted chocolates, a creamy wedge of fudge, or one of its many flavors of Detroit Edibles’ “cannabis crispy” treats.

Those looking for a lighter high may enjoy the company’s latest “Sidekicks” THC mints. Detroit Edibles also produces a wide line of cannabis-infused gummies, syrup, honey, and other treats.

Choice Labs

Choice Labs purports to be Michigan’s most popular brand of cannabis-infused gummies—namely with its flagship product, Choice Chews. And according to our readers, that’s because it’s producing some of the best tasting (and most potent) products on the market.

When it comes to variety, Choice Chews seems to be king—featuring a lineup of at least 17 different flavors. The company also produces another line of “Dorks” gummies that are coated in crunchy, colorful crushed pebble candy that’s similar in taste and texture to Big Chewy Nerds

Funky Extracts

For the second year in a row, MichiGanja Report readers picked Funky Extracts as a clear favorite on our annual listing of the best edibles at Michigan dispensaries. The only hard part was choosing a standout product—because our readers seem to love all of them equally.

Funky Extracts is an in-house brand from Pincanna, which produces a wide lineup of fruit-flavored gummies and rice crispy treats, as well as some particularly tasty cinnamon-roasted almonds. But Funky Extracts really stands out for its more innovative, saltier snacks—including its ultra-potent, THC-infused cheese curls and onion rings, all of which are fat- and gluten-free, and produced in Pinconning using high-quality, full-spectrum cannabis oil.

Michigan Organic Rub

Michigan Organic Rub (MOR)—another in-house brand from Pincanna—was also widely recognized by our readers this year. Although the company focuses more on topical products, MOR also produces a popular line of vegan THC capsules, as well as flavored granola bites.

MKX Oil Co.

MKX Oil Co. was a top contender for the title of our readers’ favorite edible brand this year—including for its cannabis-infused gummies, syrups, chocolates, chocolate bites, and roasted nuts, as well as its water-soluble THC powder, among other tasty treats.

MKX reportedly launched in Detroit in 2017 after its CEO saw how cannabis products “shrunk the brain tumor in his father,” according to the company website. Its stated mission is to “inspire and provoke the human spirit” in “ways that are sleek, sexy, bold, and rock ‘n’ roll.”

Muha Meds

MichiGanja Report readers can’t seem to get enough Muha Meds.

This California-based brand arrived in the Great Lakes region during the pandemic and has quickly carved out a reputation for producing a wide array of popular cannabis products—including vape pens, concentrates, and, of course, edibles. Readers can find its “Mamba” line of gummies on the shelves at more than 150 dispensaries across Michigan.

Although the Michigan Cannabis Regulatory Agency suspended Muha Meds’ license to do business last year for a variety of health and safety issues, company officials told The ‘Gander that they’ve remedied any lingering concerns. Our readers apparently agree with them.

Sweet Justice

Studies show that alcohol consumption—particularly among Gen Z—is declining nationwide as more and more people realize exactly how unhealthy it can be to booze it up on a regular basis.

Cannabis-infused beverages, however, are still gaining popularity as we head into 2025.

And Michiganders’ drink of choice seems to be nearly unanimous: It’s Sweet Justice.

These 12 oz cans (from Franklin Fields) come in an assortment of flavors and are infused with anywhere from 3.5-10 mg of THC. And unlike beer, you can slowly sip on these throughout your next social gathering without worrying about having a nasty hangover the next morning.

Wyld

Cannabis-infused gummies are everywhere—but only a few brands are consistent standouts in our annual reader’s choice competition. And in this category, Wyld definitely takes the top prize.

For the second year in a row, our readers voted in Wyld for making some of the best gummies in Michigan. With a wide assortment of natural fruit flavors available in a variety of combinations of THC and CBD, as well as lesser-known cannabinoids like CBG, CBC, and CBN, the brand seems to have a little something for every type of consumer and correlating stoner experience.

The raspberry flavor, for example, includes sativa-leaning terpenes for a euphoric and energizing experience best enjoyed during the day or while engaged in creative activities. The Marionberry leans more toward the indica side of the spectrum—providing that kick-off-your-shoes sense of relaxation that some consumers want for the end of the day.
