Butcher’s Union

The uncontested winner for Best Steak in Grand Rapids is the delightful Butcher’s Union. With a dedication to creating experiences that blend passion, purpose, and a good time together, Butcher’s Union is owned and operated by the same team as Gin Gin’s, another popular restaurant to grab food and drinks. Although similar in style, Butcher’s Union’s claim to fame is meat and whiskey.

Dining at Butcher’s Union often entails advanced planning—reservations required to ensure a table awaits you. However, if you’re dedicated enough to showing up as soon as they open, you can typically get a table. Those who have found themselves waiting for a meal will tell you the wait is worth it though. Even more, the staff is impeccable, making for a wonderful dining experience.

Not sure what to get? Patrons rave about the New York Strip, flank steak, and meatloaf. The whipped feta appetizer is an excellent starting point. And since they’re best known for their whiskey, you won’t want to miss out on the Old Fashioned. With four different variations, you can find the flavor profile most appealing to you.

Needless to say, it’s clear why Butcher’s Union is the uncontested winner for Best Steak.
