MICHIGAN—Michiganders legalized weed in 2018. But nobody bothered to legalize buying it late at night. That part is still up to our cities and townships to decide—and plenty of local officials have decided that the last call at the dispensary should be 11 p.m. or earlier.

But not every municipality plays it that way.

A handful have loosened the rules, and a growing number of dispensaries keep pushing their hours later and later into the night. Some stay open until 2 a.m. A few of them never close.
