TAX TIME: Michigan’s $3 billion cannabis market is staring down its biggest shake-up yet with a new wholesale tax and other regulations making their way through the state Legislature. COURT FIGHT: The legal battle over Michigan’s new 24% wholesale weed tax is still ongoing, with the Michigan Cannabis Industry Association reportedly asking a judge to hit the pause button on the new tax before it’s allowed to take effect as scheduled on Jan. 1, 2026.
