Rashida Tlaib and Shri Thanedar both issued statements this week condemning Trumpās latest rhetoric and urging Vice President JD Vance, Trumpās cabinet, and a majority of Congress to invoke the 25th Amendment and force Trumpās removal from office.
AG Nessel calls on lawmakers to act on utility rate hikes (Michigan Advance): Michigan Attorney General Dana Nessel urged lawmakers to address rising utility costs, saying oversight from her office alone is no longer enough. Nessel’s statement comes as Consumers Energy filed another rate hike request just days after having its last request approved by the Michigan Public Service Commission.
Company pulls out of Lansing data center application (WILX): A proposed data center in downtown Lansing has been scrapped after Deep Green withdrew its rezoning application ahead of a city council vote. While city leaders, including Mayor Andy Schor, supported the project and cited its potential economic benefits, many residents had pushed back on the proposal in recent months.

MichiganāsĀ new Fab FiveĀ threw style points out the door and brought home a prize not even the schoolās most famous team could capture.
The five fabulous transfers who make up coach Dusty Mayās starting lineup got down and dirty with the rest of the Wolverinesācoming out with theĀ national title trophyĀ Monday night after muscling their way to a 69-63 victory overĀ stingy, stubborn UConn.
Michigan only made two 3-pointers all night.
The Final Fourās most outstanding player, Elliot Cadeau, led the Wolverines with 19 points, including the teamās first 3, which came 7:04 into the second half. The second 3, from freshman Trey McKenney,Ā came with 1:50 leftĀ and felt like a dagger, giving Mayās teamāwhich had scored 90 points in five straight March Madness games leading to the finalāa nine-point lead.
