Fellow Michigander,
Fall is officially in the air—and your local dispensary.
My latest seasonal product guide covers everything from new infused apple ciders and spooky vapes to cozy chocolates and a strain that feels like sweater weather in flower form.
Keep scrolling for an Ann Arbor strike update, another vape recall, NOXX’s first birthday bash, a Lions ticket giveaway, and the science behind whether weed can actually help you sleep.

Pumpkin spice? Nah.
These are the fall flavors that Michigan stoners actually want.

STILL STRIKING: Workers at Exclusive in Ann Arbor are still on strike—now for a second week—while they stand up against what they’re calling unfair labor practices. Unionized dispensaries are still rare in Michigan, so all eyes are on Ann Arbor to see how this plays out.
ROYAL DELIVERY: Paw Paw’s Royal Weed Cannabis is rolling out delivery to nearby towns—including Kalamazoo, Decatur, and Lawton. The first delivery (up to 15 miles) is free.
TAXED & BUSTED: Michigan Attorney General Dana Nessel is using tax laws to crack down on black market cannabis sales. A Traverse City man was reportedly charged with felony tax evasion after police seized 134 plants, 230 pounds of weed, $100,000 in cash—and six Rolexes. Nessel says the message is simple: If you’re selling weed, you better be paying taxes.
FLASHY MOVES: As reported in City Pulse, Michigan’s Flash Flippin’ is bringing high art to cannabis marketing—like turning Jars’ deli-style flower into a full NBA-playoff ad campaign. Their pitch is simple: In a crowded market, bold branding matters just as much as the bud.
BAD KARTZ: Another week, another vape recall. State regulators say Top Smoke Go Kartz Runtz cartridges from House Brands Distro were sold in 75 dispensaries and “should not be consumed.” The move follows two other major vape recalls last month tied to banned additives.
UP NORTH FIRE: A recent column in Herb makes a bold claim, crowning The Fire Station Cannabis Co. as “the best” dispensary in Menominee—and maybe the whole Upper Peninsula. And right now, the shop is upping the hype with a new giveaway: free weed for a year.

The Pleasant Ridge dispensary is celebrating its first trip around the sun this weekend with a blowout celebration of deals, pop-ups, and giveaways. Expect deep discounts, vendor tables, and free swag—basically, the kind of party where everyone leaves with a goodie bag.
Doors open at 10 a.m. and the party runs all day.

So, the Lions aren’t off to the greatest start. But they’re winning the next one, and thanks to Sapura, you and a friend could soon be headed to Ford Field to catch the action for yourself.
|
This fall, the Lansing and Coldwater dispensaries are offering fans a shot at two Detroit Lions tickets every week—just for refilling their stash with an ounce of gold-tier or Sapura flower.
One ounce is one entry, with unlimited entries allowed all season long. Names are dropped in a bucket that resets every Monday, with winners picked at the start of every week. Didn’t win? Just grab another ounce or two before Sunday and you’ll be entered for the next drawing.
And while you’re there, it might be a good time to stock up on Wojo Co. concentrates. It’s some of the best rosin on the market, and it’s only $38 a gram at Sapura through September.

Lansing’s REO Town is always good for a wander—especially when you’re stoned.
The neighborhood is packed with murals that make for an artsy backdrop. And this week, I brought along a free sample from the recent Flower Expo in Detroit: a Jack Herer Reserve pre-roll, grown by Vera Cultivation under the official Jack Herer brand.
|
With a sweet cantaloupe and citrus on the nose, followed by that unmistakable haze funk, the smoke was smooth, the high was uplifting, and the mural stroll turned into one of those perfect Capitol City afternoons where everything looks a little brighter and more colorful than usual.
